The 2009 Bumper Catch Up Edition

Well I sort of have a good excuse this time round for being so late with this entry. It was my intention to start the New Year off with a Blog entry around the second week of January. This was because we were having a very hectic Xmas and visiting different people and family and having guests at our house as well. So the plan was to have a Christmas break and start back blogging mid January.

Unfortunately I came down with a chest infection and ended up being very ill. Constant coughing and retching due to 'phlegmy' throat meant that I pulled all my stomach muscles and some back muscles as well. This meant that I was in a lot of pain and couldn't sit upright for any length of time without a lot of discomfort. So I put off blogging until I was better.

So here is the catch up.......

Just before Christmas we went to Mottisfont National Trust House. We went with Nanny and Grandpa, Robert, Karen, Amy, Emma and Heather. We went there because they had a really good Santas Grotto. Harry & Ben were very excited and unfortunately, Ben in his excitement misjudged his muddy puddle jump and ended up caking himself in mud. Ho Hum.... He didn't seem to mind and neither did Santa.





We had a great Xmas, Harry was very into Handy Manny - a Disney Channel animation with a Hispanic repair man and his tools that were alive and helped him repair stuff. Luckily Father Christmas knew this and gave Harry a little tool box with Handy Manny and all his Tools in it.
Needless to say, Harry was very happy.



Ben loved Little Einsteins Disney Channel animation, they are four characters that go on little adventures in their big red 'Pat Pat Rocket'. Father Christmas was very good to Ben as well and brought him the Pat Pat Rocket complete with the four characters. Ben was over the Moon as well.



They also got two little garage sets from Waitrose, as seen in the photo above. Both our little chaps were in 7th Heaven.

Later on Christmas Day we went over to my Brother in Laws house. Rob and Karen did us all proud with a lovely day and a great Xmas meal. Needless to say the boys were spoilt rotten with loads of lovely gifts.Robert and Karen and the girls, bought Harry & Ben some dressing up clothes. Here they are sporting a few of them,



I will leave Christmas Day as that. I took loads of photos but there are just too many to chose from.

Boxing Day we spent at Carol's Mum & Dads. It was a great day and again they went to a lot of trouble to make it a special occasion. Lovely Christmas tree:

On the 28th & 29th my friend Claire came down and stayed with us. Her daughters Izzie and Alicia get on very well with the boys and Harry & Ben just adore them. We had a really nice relaxing time and I forgot to take photos !

On the 30th Dec, Carol's family came over to us for the day:



We spent New Years at my Mums home near Northampton. The boys slept in their little sleeping bag beds, well Ben did, Harry had an unsettled night and ended up sleeping with Mummy in the little bed next to their sleeping bags. Here they are at the start of the night sleeping well. Unfortunately this didn't last long.

So that was our Christmas and New Year !

I'll write again next week about the boys 4th Birthday Party and have some photos of the boys playing in the snow !
