Bank Holiday Weekend and beyond !

Well time has slipped away from me again and I have been lax in updating my blog.
The Bank Holiday weekend was jam packed and great fun.

On Friday we went to visit my Mum at her house near Northampton. Some of my relatives were visiting so it was lovely for them to get to meet the boys and vice versa.

Here are the photos from Friday of the boys playing in Mum's back garden. Within minutes Harry had found the water in the bird bath, we managed to stop him just in time before he drank any !!!

As soon as he had splashed all the water out of the bird bath he then moved onto Mums water feature, which is a little water pump and trough. Within minutes Harry had splashed himself until he was wet through. We had thought of everything and brought spare clothes with us for the boys.

Ben was much more sensible and had one go at the water, decided it was way to cold to start messing with and spent ages exploring the garden and all the things in it. Ben is so curious and wants to examine everything. You can really see the cogs turning when he is looking at stuff.

Ben, with a little look that says - "I'm just having a little look at this Daddy, is that ok?"

On Saturday we got more things packed for our house move, and then on Sunday we went to Stourhead with Carols Mum & Dad. We had a picnic on the back lawn of the house at Stourhead, the boys had a great time exploring and Ben was very good at finding and collecting little twigs that he presented to Carol & I.

The boys took it in turns to sit with Grandpa and eat their lunch, I am not sure who enjoyed it more :-)

On Monday we spent a an hour or so with our friend Kirsty round the corner from us. She has twin boys, Thomas and Ben. Kirsty very kindly put on an easter egg hunt for the boys and they had great fun hunting for them. Then it was a race back home in time for our friend Julia who was visiting for the evening. So Monday was pretty hectic too !

On Tuesday, my friend Claire came to visit, she brought her daughters, Izzie and Alicia. We had a lovely day, went for a walk down to the duck ponds near by and fed the ducks. All bird life according to Harry are Ducks with the exception of Peacocks because there is one that visits our brother in laws back garden, so Harry knows the difference, but if it isn't a peacock, then it must be a duck.

Here are photos of the boys with Claire and her lovely daughters, who were beautifully behaved all day and were great with the boys, who adored them.

I love Alicias cheeky grin as she is peeping around the back of Harry :-)

Well that was our Bank Holiday weekend. Next post I'll tell you all about the Great Blue Bell Wood expedition !

Early warning system

We can relax a little now with Harry, we don't have to have eyes in the back of our heads so much, as he has provided us with an early warning system. Everytime he is about to do something he knows he shouldn't be doing, he announces the fact by saying
"Harry Noooooooooo" and then proceeds to do it anyway.

He knows he is not allowed to touch the oven, but he warned us before he did it,

Here he is just after the warning:

Ben is coming long in leaps and bounds, he is saying lots more words now, including 'Cheeky' which is very appropriate ! He is also very loving and often comes and gives us big hugs and kisses, he does this to Harry as well. It is so nice that they play so well together and get on so well. Here is a photo of them watching telly cuddled up on the sofa:

The big news is that we are in the process of moving house, so pretty soon I will loose my internet connection and the blog entries will stop for a while, until I am reconnected with a new ISP, I am leaving Orange for a better deal. Until then, take care and I will try and get a few more entries written before we move.
