Heatwave !
Damn it's hot !
It has been very hard to keep the boys cool. Ideally they should be living in an 17 Deg to 19 Deg' environment. But due to new houses being built with wall insulation and extra good double glazing, even with all the windows open and the heating turned off, we couldn't get their nursery cooler than 33 degrees !!!
This meant that we ended up sleeping in the lounge, it was the coolest room in the house at about 25 degrees. The boys slept in their nappies only in their Moses baskets, whilst Carol & I slept on the lounge floor on an inflatable mattress.
The boys spent most of yesterday (22nd June) lying on their play blanket in the nude. It was very funny and they seemed a lot happier and cooler. They looked very sweet. Unfortunately due to sickos on the internet I can't post a funny photo of them in the buff as sweet as it is as it would probably be deemed as kiddy porn !
What is the world coming to !!!!
Harry & Ben are really cooing a lot now, loads of little babies noises and gurgles. Both of them are very alert and they watch you intently. They haven't got to the 'see it - want it - grab it' phase yet, but they are progressing nicely.
That is the weird thing about prems babies, where you would normally expect a baby at 'X' months to be doing this or that, with prem babies these timings are all messed up. Sometimes they will be doing things sooner, other things they will take longer to develop.
Twin things:
I have noticed that they sometimes do do things in sync, when they are on the play blanket, they will often be in sync when they kick their arms or legs, they same arm or leg at the same time. It is very funny.
They were weighed the other day, both of them at 10lb 10oz ! - They have come a long way from their birth weights of 2.4lb (Harry) and 2.3lb (Ben) - It's not until you look back at early photos that you remember just how small they were !
