Bumper Xmas Edition 2006

Well the new year is only a few hours away now and I have to say we all had a great Christmas. We did another Xmas card of the boys, which I will included at the bottom of this post.

We spent Xmas day with Carol's parents at their house just down the road.

The boys were spoilt rotten as you might guess, they got some lovely presents, they got some of the 'Little People' range of toys, a Castle and a Zoo. A Pirate Ship, and Castle from Early Learning Centre. Some lovely clothes and some very cute finger puppets of animals. A little VTech Train set. They also got a Tickle Me Elmo, which is such a giggle.

After lunch Carol, her Brother John, his girlfriend Emma and Carol's Dad took Harry & Ben for a long walk, the boys actually walked it and it was the longest they have walked so far. The only slight hiccup was that Harry decided he wanted to have a little run and he lost his balance and went face first into the pavement and grazed his lip.

Now Carol had a cunning plan, she and the boys spent the night at Carol's Mum & Dad's house whilst I had a night at home of undisturbed sleep ! Unfortunately Carol couldn't say the same as the boys didn't sleep that well at all :-(

Boxing Day we spent at Carol's Mum & Dad's again and Carol's brother Robert, sister in law Karen and their three daughters Amy, Emma and Heather came round in the afternoon. More presents and food ! :-)

Ben decided he didn't want to sleep at lunch time again and by tea time he was totally worn out. He fell asleep and was so tired nothing would wake him up.

The next day my Mum and my sister Anita and her family all came down and spent the day with us at our home.

More presents and food !!

We had a lovely day and I was so glad they all came down. I have to say this was a great Christmas and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves a great deal.

Here is the Xmas card we sent to immediate family this year. It was a real challenge to get the photo, I knew it would be a one shot deal, so I got the boys dressed up and then I got the camera ready to go. I sat them on the sofa jumped back and shot the photo just before Harry started to move off. I knew if the photo didn't come out it was going to be impossible to get them to sit back down again. Luckily it wasn't a bad photo.

Christmas is coming and the weathers getting cold
Our little boys will soon be two years old !

Harry will be counting all the presents he can see
Whilst Ben will be happy cutting his teeth on our tree !

They are all excited and full of fun,
lots of good natured mischief to be done.

How much fun the holiday will be,
With our little twinnies, full of Xmas glee.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Love Si, Carol, Harry & Ben

The house of toxic waste

No posting this week, as we are all sick (apart from Carol) the boys and I have all got bad tummies. Not a good week and the house stinks. God help the bin men when they come to empty the wheelie bin of nappies. Still could be worse, it could be the height of a summer heat wave !
