First day at play group
Time flies and yet again I am overdue a blog entry. The boys have been getting on well and this week marks an important milestone in their development.
Yesterday the boys went for a taster session at their new playgroup. Carol had the day off work and we all went for an hour to the playgroup. We sat at the side of the hall and watched them play with all the other children and the fun activities the playgroup provides. Harry & Ben thoroughly enjoyed themselves and had a bit of a paddy when it was time to go, they really had a good time and obviously didn't want to go home just yet.
Today, I took the boys back again for their second taster session, this time I had to drop them off and leave, then pick them up an hour later.
Apparently they had a great time, although they aren't used to cups just yet (they still have their cups with lids and a drinking spout at home), so both of them had wet tops where they had got a little too ambitious with their new drinking style.
Harry & Ben were amongst the last few to be brought out to the front door by the staff and Ben was getting a little upset as the room was emptying, he was having a little bit of a cry when I got him, but it was a bit half hearted and soon went when he got his little biscuit I had brought with me for just such an eventuality :-)
Soon they will go for a full day on Fridays and Mondays, I will be lost without them and probably a lot more upset about it then they will be :-)
I am sure of this because this morning they raced off into the room before I had a chance to kiss them and wish them a nice day !
Here is a photo of the boys taken yesterday morning, just before their first playgroup session.
